The natural conditions of the Oas, especially the Northern part of the county is surrounded by mountains and it is somehow isolated from the historical past, allowed the preservation of an archaic folklore which shows the tough nature of the people here. The dance of this part of the country has all its characteristic notes: rhythmic hops, the severe costumes of the dancers, half-sung shouts turns in couples, taps on the arms. |
